Don King arrived to Dubrovnik, Croatia

Croatian Professional Boxing Federation & World Boxing Council in association with International Top Star Promotions & Dubrovnik PartneR have organized in the city of Dubrovnik (Croatia) a press conference in order to present upcoming 44th annual WBC CONVENTION & WBC MuayThai Congress.

Thank's to enormous help and efforts of the WBC President Mr. Jose Sulaiman and his son Mauricio from Mexico and great work done by the promoter of this big event Mr. Harry Gorian and his partners Mrs. Roberta Simunovic and Mrs. Tilda Bogdanovic with their crew, the most famous promoter of all times and life time WBC ambassador DON KING came to Dubrovnik in order to promote this historic moment in the way that only he can do it.

Great reception by the city Mayor Mrs. Roberta Suica with highest political and touristic authorities of Dubrovnik and region wished to Mr. Don King worm welcome and pleasant stay in one of the most beautiful and famous touristic cities in the world.

Convention is going to take place in hotel CROATIA in Cavtat (near Dubrovnik) from 29.10. till 04.11.2006 with more than 160 countries worldwide and leading world promoters, managers, officials and representatives from all continents.

Also, some former and actual world champions are going to be part of this big convention. Under negotiations are some big champions such as Oscar De la Hoya, Laila Ali, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Marvin Haggler and the biggest and most famous champion of all times MUHAMMAD ALI (if his health conditions will aloud him!

Beside famous champions there will be also leading World and European promoters such as Don King Productions, Top Rank, Golden boy Promotions, Universum box-promotion, Sauerland events, OPI2000, AMI production, Palle promotion, Frank Warren promotion, Hennessy promotions and many others.

Together with professional boxing, for the first time will took place WBC MuayThai congress with some super stars from Croatia such as Stefan Leko (famous K-1 superstar) and from Thailand such as Buakaw Por. Pramuk and Kaoklai Kaesoring (both also famous K-1 MAX and K-1 champions) who will do seminars during convention.

At the present moment there are final negotiations for two big events under the names WBC KINGS OF THE RING - MISSION IMPOSSIBLE which should take place in Dubrovnik at the end of September with open air show in the very center of the old town in front of approximative 30.000 spectators and the other one which will also take place in Dubrovnik during convention on 31st of October in sport hall with around 5.000 spectators.

Both shows will have some WBC World and International titles in male & female boxing as well as in WBC MuayThai with presence of worldwide TV. All those who are interest to be part of this big events in boxing & MuayThai and historic moment for central & south east Europe are more then welcome to come.
