REMARKS:
Excellent show with very good fights and definitely the best ever show in Republic Czechia so far thanks to one of the best promoters in Europe, Mr. Milko Deucman. Exclusive place of the venue (Bobys centrum laser show discotheque) fantastic choreography and light show with beautiful ring girls and best fighters from all over the world (pitty that two top class fighters Moussa Sissoko from Africa and Aziz JahJah from Belgium cancelled in last moment due to injury of Sissoko and too bussy program of Aziz). The fights were very close and all fighters gave maximum of their present capabilities. This tournament showed that there are really some top fighters in light cruiser weight category and we are looking forward some some rematches which are already under negotiations.
Biggest positive surprise:
Definitely there were two: Senol Kiziltas who gave excellent fight despite of his age of only 19 years against one of the favourites and very experienced champion from Thailand, Leonard Sitpholek. The other one was another young fighter coming from Dekkers gym Errel Zimmerman. Very promising fighter, also very young (only 18 years old) but with great master and super champion Ramon Dekkers behind him. After winning first fight in attractive way (knee to the head) in second fight he lost it thanks to little bit more precise kicks of Tomas Hron in last round. Sincere congratulations to bouth of them hoping to see them in action very soon.
Biggest negative surprise:
Antonio Medelin who is one of very good fighters but simply today was not his day. Pitty as he was among silent favourites to enter into finals. We hope to see him in better shape next time.
Best fighter:
Definitely Tomas Hron (CZE) who won the tournament after having two very hard fights against very tough opponents (Zimmerman and Sitpholek). Fighter who has, after winning two world titles (WKA & WKN), definitely show that his place is among the best in this weight and who might even do good business in heavier weight divisions. As he also belongs to young upcoming fighters we are sure that he is going to improve and confirm his top class.
Best fight:
Senol Kiziltas (Turkey) vs Leonard Sitpholek (Thailand)
Excellent fight between two completely different fighters: Kiziltas excellent puncher and kicker and Sitpholek very precise and strong knee kicker. Despite of hard knees to the ribs taken by Sitpholek, Kiziltas almost succeed to put down twice by very powerful cross in 2nd and 3rd round. Till the end of the fight nobody was sure who is going to win that fight. |
